Abstract:
The 2012 London Summer Olympic Games will feature numerous wrestling events. Many of these competitions will be shown on U.S. television. Check out this article to see when the Olympic wrestling events will air on T.V.
As the London Olympics' official website notes, wrestling made its modern Olympic debut in 1896. The 2012 Summer Games will feature 18 different wrestling competitions. The Greco-Roman events are only open to men and consist of seven weight categories. One key feature of Greco-Roman wrestling is the rule mandating that athletes use only their arms and upper bodies to throw or pin their opponents to the ground. The freestyle wrestling events are divided into seven men's and four women's weight categories. In freestyle competitions, athletes can use any part of their bodies to force their opponents to the mat.
Some of the wrestling competitions will be shown on television in the United States. Viewers can use this guide to help them determine when the Olympic wresting contests will be aired in the U.S.
