Around 2000 athletes will compete in 47 track and field events at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. This article provides the U.S. television times for the Olympic track and field events.
The official website of the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games refers to the track and field events as the athletics contests. Regardless of what it is called, the sport has been a staple at every modern Summer Olympics and currently includes 47 different events.
